This report outlines the findings related to an internal leak discovered under the floorboards at a property in Bracknell. The report covers the detection, tracing, access, and assessment of the leaks cause, severity, and damage.
A visual inspection was conducted to identify obvious signs of damage, such as water stains floorboards.
A pressure test was conducted on the water supply pipe to detect any drop in pressure. A pressure drop in the water supply line confirmed the presence of a leak in the plumbing under the floor boards.
The affected floorboards were carefully lifted, exposing the underlying pipe. The pipe was found to be damaged which was the source of the leak. The floorboards were found to be discoloured in some areas due to prolonged exposure to water.
The leak under the floorboards has been successfully identified and traced. The leak has caused water damage to the floorboards. We have successfully repaired the damaged pipe, taking preventive measures to avoid future issues.
We recommend replacing the damaged floorboards.
